Matthew Borland

Matt is dedicated to advancing rehabilitation and has developed a particular expertise in supporting individuals living with disabilities. He employs a broad range of evidence-based treatment approaches designed to improve function, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life.

 

His therapeutic practice incorporates manual therapy, function- and impairment-based rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, and structured exercise programs tailored to each patient’s needs.​

Matt works with a diverse patient population, from infants as young as six months to adults well into their 90s. He has significant experience managing a wide spectrum of neurological, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal conditions,.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys staying active on the footy field or basketball court, spending quality time with friends and family, and unwinding with a good TV series or movie.

Joe Flannery

Joe Flannery is an experienced physiotherapist dedicated to helping people improve their health, mobility, and quality of life. With a background spanning acute care, aged care, disability, and paediatrics, Joe applies a patient-centred, evidence-based approach to support individuals at all stages of life.

He specialises in assessing and treating musculoskeletal, neurological, and developmental conditions, designing personalised rehabilitation programs that enhance function, independence, and overall wellbeing. Joe has extensive experience working with children to support developmental progress, as well as with older adults and people with disabilities to maintain mobility, prevent injury, and optimise daily living.

Joe combines clinical expertise with clear communication and compassionate care, helping patients understand their condition, set achievable goals, and actively participate in their recovery. Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with family, running, and making the most of downtime to relax, recharge, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Jarrad Borland

Exercise Physiologist

With a lifelong background in sports, health, and fitness, Jarrad is passionate about transforming lives through exercise, education, and holistic health interventions. He specialises in working with people of all abilities - including those with disabilities - by designing tailored exercise programs that address cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and mental health needs.

Jarrad’s expertise includes rehabilitation, adaptive fitness, chronic pain management, and healthy aging. He has a proven ability to motivate and support clients of all ages, creating programs that enhance strength, mobility, and quality of life.

His approach is built on four key pillars:

  • Holistic Assessment – considering mind, body, and lifestyle factors.

  • Individualised Rapport – understanding each client’s unique goals and challenges.

  • Empowerment through Education – teaching the “why” behind each exercise.

Micky graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2018 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Physiology.

With a passion for holistic care, Micky takes a participant-centered approach, tailoring treatment to each individual’s goals through a combination of targeted exercise and hands-on techniques. Micky has experience across a diverse range of settings, including community health, aged care, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and thrives on helping participants achieve meaningful outcomes.

Outside of work, Micky loves exploring the outdoors through hiking, discovering new places while traveling, and cherishing quality time with family and friends. Always curious and enthusiastic, Micky brings energy, empathy, and dedication to every interaction.

Daniel Hunter

Exercise physiologist

Dan is a dedicated exercise physiologist with a strong passion for optimising human performance, and improving overall health and well-being. Since graduating Southern Cross University in 2021, Dan has successfully helped numerous patients achieve their fitness goals through individualised programming, and providing personalised health guidance. 

 

Additionally, Dan brings additional expertise as a strength and conditioning coach, enabling him to effectively enhance performance, prevent injuries, and improve quality of life.


Dan's deep understanding of exercise physiology, coupled with his ability to motivate and educate patients has allowed him to create an empowering and supportive environment, ensuring patients reach their full potential through their health journeys.

 

In his time off, Dan enjoys training in the gym, catching up for coffee with friends, and relaxing on the couch at home.
